A Harris Hawk? What’s all that about? Yes we can use hawks or kestrels to help with pigeon control

We are one of the very few pest control companies who are trained to work in Confined Spaces.
Beaver Pest Control March News goes underground
Working in confined spaces can be very dangerous. The very old underground walkways in many London Hospitals create hazards from not just banging your head or burning yourself on hot pipes but they can also kill you if there is a build up of poisonous gas.
Beaver Pest Control March News heard that initially you have to lower down a gas detector into the tunnel on a rope, leave it for a while and then pull it out to check that all is clear. One person must then enter and if everything appears to be safe then a second person can come in. A third person must wait outside and there must be radio contact at all times. No mobile phones here. The third person will never come in to help if there is a problem. You are on your own guys so keep your masks and hard hats on and look after yourselves. If you are going to use large insecticide application equipment then you need to make sure it is not going to drift into the wards above and must therefore test this first with a lemon scented oil spray. This means that another person needs to work out where you are in the tunnel and make sure nobody can smell lemons above. Beaver Pest Control are one of the few London pest control companies who are able to do this. The days are gone when you could wander along these corridors with a sprayer on your own. Health and Safety is expensive but so are the lives of our staff.
Did we tell you about Trading for Good?
Beaver Pest Control March News are proud to announce that we are the third Company mentioned on the Trading for Good website
Beaver Pest Control have recently received the Trading for Good “Responsible Business Award 2015”. This is in recognition of the impressive number of social activities they have recorded and endorsements received via their Trading for Good profile during 2015. The team at Beaver are always keen to offer their time and expertise for good causes including Oxfam, St Raphael’s Hospice and the Croydon Jobs Fair and through their volunteering efforts they have delivered an amazing 969 hours of pro-bono work. Well done to everyone involved and Trading for Good are delighted to showcase the good things that you do for so many good causes.
We recently contacted David Lodge (Beaver Pest Control LLP – Partner) who explained why Beaver Pest Control joined Trading for Good..
“Giving back has always been important to us as individuals but rather disjointed as a company over the years. By joining Trading for Good and recording CSR activities it gives our staff a chance to celebrate what they do for the community. It has created a very real feel good factor and has even encouraged more staff to get involved. On top of this it is clear that our customers also want to be associated with service providers who care for both their local community and the environment”.
“Beaver Pest Control LLP are extremely proud to have received The Trading for Good 2015 Award and wish the Venture all the best for the coming years, we highly recommend membership”.
Beaver Pest Control’s sales and marketing activity is lead by Julia Kulinski (Pictured above) who ensures that their Trading for Good profile is kept up to date and showcases all the good things that the team participates in.
