Today one of our longest and nicest technicians, Colin Sexton, was going about his normal daily work. He called at a pre-booked residential job to receive no answer. Instead of just leaving he continued to try and contact the resident as he knew the job had been pre-booked and the resident was elderly.
Eventually he managed to get an answer from the mobile phone number. The resident was in but she had had a fall and couldn’t move.
Colin called our office straight away to report the incident, and then went to call on neighbours to find out if anyone had a key. He found a neighbour and they let themselves into the elderly lady’s flat to find out that she had fallen and hurt herself quite badly.
Colin immediately called an ambulance and then stayed with the lady until the medical services arrived.
We’re very proud of Colin. His persistence and quick thinking meant that this lady got medical help very quickly.
