Beaver Pest Control Services: Our History & Who We Are

Beaver Pest Control, established in 1990; has been based in Tooting for the whole of its growth, from a start up in Graham Lodge’s living room to the business we are today.

Graham Lodge, our founding partner, worked for Rentokil for 10 years, first as a technician and then as a Surveyor. He didn’t really fit into the large company mould and believed there was room in the market to create a company which genuinely cared about its customers and its staff whilst charging a fair price. As with most, start-up's Graham did a bit of everything, but soon the company was large enough to bring on a second person, David Lodge (his brother).

The name Beaver House comes from their surname, Lodge, which is a Beaver’s house. In 1993 the company took on its 3rd person, Colin Sexton, who is still with us today. Dave Pullinger, our Head of Service has also been with the business since 1995.

The company moved to Trident Business Centre in 2003 where it has remained ever since although the office space has increased! One of the main reasons for staying in Tooting is that we want to keep our existing office staff and moving away from the area could disrupt the team.

We are a london based company but carry out work across the whole of the United Kingdom.

We are 60% commercial contract based and 40% job based which ensure stability and continuity to both our customers and staff.

Our happy and skilled staff team are committed to the company and its ethos of quality. staff turnover is extremely low; this ensures that our customers hear the same voices and see the same faces year upon year which in turn creates a storng supplier and customer bond.

Family Business

We choose our staff carefully, taking personality into account, train them well, regularly check their work, train them some more and reward them for excellence..

If something goes wrong then we have a high ratio of Managers and Directors to deal with this. We manage to keep our staff – One third have been with us for over 10 years – and therefore we have pest control specialists with innovative ideas available at all times to help you.

How do we keep our staff? Well we pay them well, which always helps, but we also make sure there are plenty of get togethers and social events to keep that vital team, or even family, spirit burning.

Great Team Spirit!

By having many happy and professionally minded core members of staff we end up with everybody helping each other out and not wanting to be the one who lets down a customer. We achieved this spirit of unity in our early days and have maintained it ever since.

Achieving this is not easy and it is a continual process. The Managers therefore deserve great credit because they have ensured that their staff are not working for them but for the team.

David Pullinger has been with us since 1995 and runs service and Melanie Kemp has been with us since 1997 and runs the office. Ozzie YusufPaul PeacockJames WoodBryan McDonough and Cristian Cojocaru hold management duties and are always there to support their staff and help their customers.

Excellent Customer Service!

We have an excellent Surveying team made up of Gabriel BorsRadu AsaveiDavid Brown, Sam Ritz and Adrian Manolache to advise  existing and new customers.

Although David and Graham Lodge are the main Directors they rely heavily on their two other Partners, Rafal Brymer and Julia Pittman, to help them move the business forward.

Because of all of these systems we have many customers who have used us for more than twenty years.

Our customers trust us to always provide them with someone who knows what they are doing and to provide a friendly knowledgeable person on the other end of the phone.
